Who is the IBEW?
The IBEW represents a wide range of workers across every sector of our economy. Between our Construction and our Professional & Industrial branches, nearly 750,000 working people call themselves members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Our members are tradespersons in construction and utilities, and all manner of workers in manufacturing, telecommunications, government, railroad, and more. Aside from the traditional electrical workers you’d expect, even college professors and state attorney generals from across the United States have chosen IBEW as their union because of our stellar reputation and proven record at the bargaining table.
IBEW 113, represents approximately 1,000 public and private sector workers in the Pikes Peak Region and beyond. Its history dates to 1900, when electrical workers in Colorado Springs organized to fight for better wages and safer working conditions. Since those times, Local 113 has grown to become a leader in the labor movement, establishing a reputation both for its vigilant workplace representation and for the exemplary political and civic engagement of its membership.
Some of your fellow workers have expressed interest in forming a union in the workplace and bargaining collectively. Join the campaign by completing the Authorization for Representation form below.
